Installing Workflow Manager Server

ArcGIS Workflow Manager Server can be installed on its own machine or on the hosting server machine. For production deployments, it is recommended to install ArcGIS Workflow Manager Server on its own machine. To install ArcGIS Workflow Manager Server on its own machine, ArcGIS Server must be installed on that same machine but does not need to be licensed as a GIS server. The ArcGIS Workflow Manager Server license provides access to only the ArcGIS Workflow Manager Server capability on the machine.

Note:

Only one ArcGIS Workflow Manager server is supported per ArcGIS Enterprise deployment.

  1. Obtain an authorization file for the machine on which you will install ArcGIS Workflow Manager Server.
  2. Sign in as a user with administrative privileges.
  3. Sign in to the My Esri site with the Esri account that is tied to your customer.
  4. Go to My Organization and click Downloads.
  5. Locate ArcGIS Enterprise (Windows) and click View Downloads.
  6. Expand the Product Components section.
  7. Click Download for the ArcGIS Workflow Manager Server setup program.
  8. The ArcGIS Workflow Manager Server setup program opens automatically after the download has completed. If the ArcGIS Workflow Manager Server setup program does not open automatically, browse to the location of the downloaded setup files and double-click Setup.exe.
  9. Review the license agreement and accept it, or exit if you do not agree with the terms.
  10. To complete the installation, follow the directions on the screen.
